TENNIS COMMITTEE
MEETING – 15th NOVEMBER 2007
Present :

1. Previous Minutes - Agreed
2. Use of Courts by Performance Club
- Unanimously agreed that the Courts should be offered free of charge to the Performance Club.
3. Coaching
- Support for Performance Club and possible affect on the Club.
- It was agreed it is in the interest of the Club to support the Performance Club and that we should consider rejoining. The possible terms to be considered, but to be similar to present, with any funds raised being administered as the club see fit.
- - It was unanimously agreed that coaches do not now
have to pay for lights, in line with the treatment of Squash coaching.
4. Courts
- Bottom three courts now re-opened, they can be used, but they are not being maintained over the Winter months. Use of the Courts to be encouraged because it is good for the Courts.

6. Matches/Tournaments
- Club approached to host British Junior Clay Court Qualifiers in 2008. It was agreed by all the Club should.
- Teams doing well, mixed are unbeaten. Men’s team have also won their matches.
- Junior under 10 green team were successful last weekend. The club also entered a second team which is excellent. Mini red this weekend again two teams being entered.
7. Social
- Pumpkin Cup coming up shortly.
8. Tennis Club Mark
- Some work to be carried out by the Club for this, to be discussed at Management next Monday, as it involves the Club as a whole.
9. Sports Match Funding
- Again to be discussed at Management, or within the Sponsorship Group set up.
10. A.O.B.
- Tracksuits for coaches/kids. £59.99 for coaches. Sandra proposed the Club pay for those and consider contributing to the kids. GM to find out more first.
- It was agreed the Club should follow up the inconsistent application of ‘league’ rules by Tennis Wales South.
- LTA membership for Club Members. Tony Rideout to action.
- Eleri confirmed she has had no matters to deal with in respect of Child protection.
