Meeting: 7th August 2006

- Previous Minutes
- Letters must be sent to Sinclair Garage, Swansea Building Society and Mary Hunter to thank for wind breaks and work done at the tournament. DP Action
- TR chased Sarah re: CRB and awaiting response. CI please note. DP action
- Adult coaching to be chased. DP action
- Long discussion regarding the role and input of GM and attendance at meetings. JG expressed his concerns regarding his attendance and after much discussion and in light of the request to ask him to provide a written report, the committee felt that this was insufficient for its purposes. A motion was proposed by JG and seconded by TR to ask for the resignation of GM as coaching co-ordinator and GM to remain on the committee as first team captain. This was passed unanimously. It was also agreed to approach Norman Allnatt and ask for a new representative to fulfil the role.

- Coaching
- Report from CI and GM attached.
- Courts
- Manual brushes are being looked at for the top courts. General maintenance being held off till end of season along with any decision. Coaches to ensure they are brushed at end of each session.
- Back netting returned to Langland. Still looking for sponsors for further windbreaks. Any interest see JG.
- Committee thanked Tony and Cliff for their continued efforts.
- Treasury Report
Report from TR. Account in credit by £324. Ideas and suggestions for use of the money to be send to DP prior to next meeting. All action
- Matches/Tournaments
- Club tournament in progress.
- One match left for 1st team against Cardiff but in dispute.
- Teams put in for Cymru Kitchens – 4 teams and 3 teams for Vets.
- It was highlighted that teams must pay for all drinks and meals at time of consumption – no more tabs will be given. All team captains to notify players IN ADVANCE about costs of home matches.
- Social
- Club stewards have asked for permission to run club parties with bouncy castle on tennis or squash courts. Referred to management committee after discussion but agreed in principle provide no damage, insurance was in place and respect paid to all equipment etc.
- BBQ 19th August being considered.
- Any Other Business
- CPA guidance to be completed for team captains prior to the next season starting. DP action
