Meeting: 3^rd July 2006

1. Previous Minutes

- Letters must be sent to Sinclair Garage, Swansea Building Society and Mary Hunter to thank for wind breaks and work done at the tournament. DP Action

 

- DP to check regarding Sarah and chase CI DP action

- Ladder – junior ladder what is happening - check with CI. Senior ladder has been tried and will be left to later in the year again as not enough interest.

- Due to GM being unable to attend all meetings agreed he would provide a report in an agreed format to the meeting when he could not attend in person. It would include activities, priorities and general information.

- Activity for Juniors – again update from GM to cover this please.

2. Coaching

• Adult coaching was raised – CI to note this request and include in plans. Need a report on what actions are being done in the next 3 months.

1. Courts

• Cliff has been watering courts and no issues have been raised since the last meeting.

• Discuss regarding previous agreement that 1^st men’s and ladies use courts 4/5/6 as premier teams. Men’s 2^nd team are now in Premier and have to use 7/8/9 but due to timings have to use lights. Therefore it was requested that all ‘PREMIER TEAMS’ are allowed to use 4/5/6 for matches. This would mean on men’s club night they would use 7/8/9/ and 1/2/3. This would impact 2 nights in July and 1 in August for this year only. The committee agreed to the request.

2. Matches/Tournaments

• Club tournament to be held from 1^st August to 19^th August. ID and DP to organise.

• ‘Chopper’ tournament to be held on 6^th August on courts 1/2/3.

1. Social

• Clive Dorking and Bernice have taken over the stewarding.

1. Any Other Business

• BBQ in August – liaision with Bernice and Iris to link to club finals day on 19^th August.
