2. Approval of Minutes 2005 AGM:

Proposed by Norman Allnatt and seconded by Iris Duffy. No matters arising as all matters dealt with at the EGM held on the 14th November 2005.

3. Chairman's Report:

Thanks were extended to the tennis committee and tennis members for all their efforts and support over the past year. Eleri Davies was thanked for taking over the role as Child Protection Officer for the club as a whole. 2005's Welsh Harcourt Championship's were a great club success and all that helped and organised same should give themselves a pat on the back. Mike Stokes became seriously ill at the start of 2006 and Tony Collins was appointed to help with court maintenance. Cliff Sarfas was thanked for stepping in to help, and advise, through the crisis. It was much appreciated. The club stewards, Wendy and Steve, were also thanked for their hard work and commitment to the club and for the extra duties carried out, again due to Mike Stokes illness. John discussed and outlined the current and future court maintenance, particularly the all weather courts. Windbreaks had been obtained (very kindly donated by the Swansea Building Society) for the coming season, but we are still short. Iris Duffy has volunteered to get some more.

4. Treasurers Report:

An amount of £74.35 was recorded in the Tennis Committee A/C. Paul Hicks signatory had been removed from the A/C and Louie Davies had taken his place. Tony remained the other signatory.

5. Coaches Report:

Craig Ingham gave a full and detailed account and if copies of this are required, please contact tennis secretary. Ffion Davies and Danny Kasto were selected by the coaches as being the most improved youngsters and as such will receive free memberships this year. Congratulations to them both.

6. Courts:

This was discussed in detail during the chairman's report. Matting of all courts (including all weather), after play, was emphasised.

7. Fixtures/Matches/Tournaments:

Louie, in her absence, was given a vote of thanks by the chairman, which was wholly supported by the meeting, for her hard work and professionalism. If bad weather affects team matches then please contact Louie and advise her. This coming May Day will be an open day with a B/B/Q. The £5000 Welsh Open Harcourt Championships will be held on the 27/28/29 of May. On the 10/7/06 a Ladies BWTA event will take place. Over the August Bank Holiday week End a Closed Welsh Veterans event will take place. Geoff Muxworthy praised the Clubs NCL Teams, which had done so well. The Ladies Veterans teams had also done very well (unbeaten (see also Tennis Web Site)) as had the Men's (with just one defeat). John stated that the Club Championships would take place this year. A vote of thanks was also given to Iris and Donald for their supreme efforts in getting the tennis ladders off the ground.

8. Social:

Iris pleaded that everyone support the club events. A lot of hard work and organisation goes into these for the benefit of all members. Check the club web site for future events. £300 was raised for the Breast Cancer Charity and again thanks must go to all those involved.

9. Election of Officers:

As per the Tennis Bye Laws, the following officers were re-elected, unopposed, for the next two years, Tony Ridout (Treasurer), Louie Davies (Fixtures/League Secretary), Geoff Muxworthy (Coaching Liaison Officer), Geoff Muxworthy (Ordinary Member), Iris Duffy (Ordinary Member). Tennis members wanting to see the nomination form, please contact the tennis secretary.
